y the time a wedding rolls around, I have normally hung out a few times with my brides.... and annoyed them with emails and texts!!!! Amy and I hadn't had a chance to grab lunch, so on the day of her wedding I had planned on arriving an hour early.... I was SO excited to meet Amy and didn't care if that meant I was arriving super early like a weirdo!!! 
 
So my fabulous assistant for the day - Nicole (from Photography by Nicole Johnson) met me for lunch to chat a little before the wedding!!!! We headed out from lunch even earlier than we had originally planned - which meant we'd be arriving almost an hour and a half early to meet Amy.... 
 
And that's when it happened....  
 
-stares- 
 
Traffic.... the tunnel that led straight to Amy... was completely SHUT DOWN. 
 
I wanted to cry.. 
 
I still can't get over, how I had planned on being SO early -- to being forced to sit in traffic for TWO HOURS... in a car that has stick shift.... 
 
I also wore a skirt. -sigh- 
 
I just KNEW I had ruined Amy and Paul's special day. 
 
When Nicole and I finally arrived in Norfolk and we walked into Amy's hotel room..... everyone was so EXCITED.... HAPPY... and in no way 'ruined'! 
 
Oh sweet goodness.. Amy hadn't even put her dress on yet... and everything was just as it should have been.

In fact, the day turned out to be everything BUT ruined... it was PERFECT. Amy and Paul have a love that is unmatched... They are incredibly sweet and playful... Amy actually bites Paul like I bite Chase -- so it was an instant connection with Amy and I! HA! 
 
Seriously though, these two are amazing. At one point, I even asked... "where is myyyyyy husband" -- they made me miss Chase. They inspired me... to love even harder than I already do. 
 
Can you believe these two have been together for about 7 years and STILL so in love -- If we all approached love the way Amy and Paul do --- we'd all have amazing relationships.
